Dr. N.M.PERERA CENTER &
IT'S OBJECTIVES


            
  1. To implement decisions in conformity with the objectives and powers of the Board of Trustees of the Dr. N.M.Perera Memorial Trust Fund as defined in the Trust Deed bearing No. 2463 of 16th February 1980 attested by M. St. S. Casiechetty, Notaty Public, Colombo.
  1. To foster and promote the ideals and principles of Socialism with which the late Dr. N.M.Perera identified himself and for which he dedicated his life.
  1. To establish a library of books on social sciences and politics which shall include subjects encompassing politics, economics, labour, trade unionism agrarian reforms civil liberties and human rights etc.
  1. To promote and organize research pertaining to politics, economics, labour, human rights and other socio-economic matters.
  1. To engage in the study of economic, social and political problems of Sri Lanka and other developing countries and to work out solutions which would help achieve sustainable development consistent with maximum social equity in democratic framework.
  1. To arrange for and organise lectures, discussions, seminars, workshops, meetings, training courses etc. and to engage in the publication of literature and to disseminate information on such subjects as to promote the objectives of the Centre.
  1. To commemorate Dr. N.M.Perera’s birth and death anniversaries in an appropriate manner.
