Nanayakkarapathirage Martin Perera, better known as N M Perera was born exactly one hundered years ago, on 6th June 1905. As a founding member of Lanka Sama Samaja Party (LSSP) he pioneered in organizing the down trodden, in general and working class in particular to struggle against the imperialism and capitalism in Sri Lanka. His leadership qualities and intellectual powers were based on an excellent academic background in 1920s.
